Who Invented Ctrl+Alt+Del

Control-Alt-Delete ( often abbreviated to Ctrl+Alt+Del), is also known as "three-finger salute". It is a computer keyboard command in IBM PC compatible systems that can be used to reboot the computer, and invoke the task manager or Windows Security in more recent versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is invoked by pressing the Delete key while holding the Control and Alt keys. Do you know, who invented the key combination and why was it developed initially? Well, here is the answer. The name is David Bradley. He is the one who spent 1 minute and 23 second in writing the source code that rescues the world's PC users from decades. This extraordinary IBM employee retired on January 30, 2004 after a prolong service of 29 years. His formula forces obstinate computers to restart when they no longer follow other commands. In 1980, Bradley was one of 12 people working on the original IBM PC, developing the computer ROM BIOS code. The engineers knew they had to design a simple way to restart the computer when it fails to respond the user. Mr. Bradley wrote the code to make it  work. Initially Control-Alt-Escap was the combination to trigger a soft reboot the computer accidentally. He switched the key combination to Control-Alt-Delete, a combination that was impossible to press with just one hand. Control-Alt-Delete was not to be used by end users. It was meant to be used by programmers, so that they could reboot their computers without powering them down. this was useful since after a computer was powering down, it was necessary to wait a few seconds before powering it up again to avoid potential damage to the power supply. Since software developers and technical writers would need to restart a computer many times, this key combination was a big time-saver.
Bradley believes his fame and success is achieved each time a PC users fails. He commented his relationship with Bill Gates by saying " I may have invented it, but Bill gates made it famous".
